Christmas Time

We are so excited that Christmas is coming soon!  Here are a few holiday pics!  And for those of you who haven't seen yet...........Take a look at the boys new haircuts!  Ethan's hair just wasn't growing in like we wanted it too so we shaved it!  Preston then wanted to shave his head and I talked him out of that, but told him he could get it cut.  So, funny enough....Our Christmas cards show two boys with longer hair and now they both look really different with short hair.

Preston giving Santa five and telling him what he wants this year.

 Cute boys!

Monkey Joes

Just a few weeks ago, I took the boys to Monkey Joe's.  Preston loves it!  Well, when we got there, they asked me if Ethan was going to play.  I wasn't sure, but let him try it out.  He loved it too!  He had just as much fun as Preston.  Several moms told their children to watch out for Ethan, but when they saw Preston wrestle with Ethan they felt like they were safe.  Preston loves Ethan so much and it's so cute to watch them play together.  Ethan adores Preston!  So sweet!

Pass the Peas Please

Ethan was a picky eater with baby food (he would not eat any veggies), but since now he eats mostly table food, the kid will eat anything!  One night recently he was eating some peas and then decided to take some of Daddy's too!  So cute!

No, we normally wouldn't let our children climb on the table like this, but sometimes it's fun to watch them explore and see what they will do with a little freedom!  We all had fun watching him spread peas all over the table!  He is a handful!  I can't imagine what the toddler years are going to look like!  Good times!

Also, for those of you who haven't seen him, we shaved Ethan's head.  His hair was crazy (and thin, and stringy), so we decided to shave it so maybe it would grow back better.  We like it, but looking at these pics makes me miss his hair.  I don't know what we will do with his hair next, only time will tell!  Hopefully it will grow out and look cute this time, but I am not so sure : )

Happy Birthday Preston!

I can't believe it's been 5 years since Preston was born!  Time flies!  He has been such a blessing in our life and we are so proud of him.  In our family, birthday's are a big deal!  So, on Preston's birthday....
he got to call most of the shots : )!
This was a movie that he has been wanting for ever!  He was so excited!
 A chocolate cupcake for breakfast!
 A movie with mommy!

Jumping, which he loves as you can see!

Dinner and ice cream at Outback!  He loves the bread there and he also enjoys everyone singing to him!

The next day....
His party at Chuck E. Cheese!
The cake!  Delish! and so cool with Chuck E. Cheese and Dirtbikes on it!
 A few action pics!

So many presents!  Thank you so much!
Everyone excited to see Chuck E. Cheese!

Tonight we were talking to Preston at dinner and I said, "Preston, you and Daddy will have to get out your box of magic tricks (birthday present from the Riffles) sometime soon and try some of the tricks!"
Preston didn't miss a beat and said,
"Oh, can we make you disappear?"

I tried not to take offense : ), and then when he started naming other people he could make disappear, I realized it was nothing personal!  Kids are so funny!

We love you Preston, Happy Birthday!

Happy Early Birthday Preston!

For Preston's 5th Birthday we surprised him with a dirtbike!  He has been talking about one and wanting one for quite sometime now and we have been telling him that he is not big enough yet.  We decided to go ahead with it and he was super excited!  We told him he could be a dirtbike rider for haloween so he has been collecting all the gear over the past few weeks (not knowing that it was to really ride a real dirtbike).  Tim worked so hard to find the dirtbike and get everything ready for the big surprise.  After Preston saw the dirtbike, he immediately gave Tim a big hug (and is yet to hug me for it :), but I guess he knows that it was more from Tim than something that I would have gotten him.  He is a little intimated by it (it is very loud and fast) so Tim has been riding with him and teaching him slowly how to ride it.  He still doesn't want to ride it by himself, but I am sure that will come with time.

Here is Preston gettting ready to ride!

Not so sure, but he is going to give it a try!

Tim, helping him out!

Teaching him all about how to ride!

Here he goes!

Ok, well this was more like it....
Here they go!

And we can't forget about sweet Ethan!  Also excited about all of this because one day it will all be his!

Just trying on Preston's jersey for size : )

Thanks Daddy for such an awesome early birthday present!
We love you!

Silly Preston

Here is a picture of Preston at Awanas with blue hair (he also recently had orange hair, but I can't get the pic to download correctly)

Prestons favorite thing to do when he beats me back from walking (ride the garage door all the way up)!  Must be a boy thing!
 My punk rocker!

The Pumpkin Patch

We found a cool pumpkin patch near Fayetteville and went last Sunday after church.  We pulled a wagon and picked our own pumpkins. Here is Preston and Ethan on the wagon.

Tim and Preston, looking for the perfect pumpkins.
Ethan was having so much fun among all the pumpkins, I couldn't get him to look up for a picture.  He was eating hay too!

I love my husband and my two boys!  They are all so sweet!

This is me jumping with Preston and Ethan!  They both had so much fun!
Usually I can get Tim to do this type of thing with the boys and I get to watch, but not on this day (I guess I shouldn't complain too much, he did sliding rock with Preston not too long ago and the water was freezing, so I got the better end of the deal jumping at the pumpkin patch :)
We really had a lot of fun here even though they stole our money!  J/K, I guess when you have the only pumpkin patch around, you can charge whatever you want and people will pay it.  We got two pumpkins, went in the corn maze for about 10 minutes, jumped, and played on the playground ($6 just for the playgound, CRAZY!), went on a hay ride and ate some ice cream, all for around $60!  And Ethan was free!  What a rip off, but some fun memories!

Happy Fall!  We sure are enjoying this wonderful weather, hope you are!

Apples and a Sucker.........

What do these have in common?..............
Nothing.
Just some cute pics of our boys : )!
Ethan likes anything EXCEPT for baby food.  I have to force him to eat that : ).  He has so many teeth that he is already eating some table food.  He is very picky!  On a daily basis he eats rice cereal and fruit (no veggies!) and any table food that we are eating that I see fit for him.  He makes a lot of faces at things he doesn't like, but we keep trying!
And Preston likes to do anything that Ethan does, so I had to cut his apple the same way as Ethan's!
My sweet boys sharing a sucker!
Here is Ethan drinking from his "big boy cup"!
Wow, time flies!  Both of these sweet boys are growing up so fast!

Why the new blog?  Something happened to our last one and I could no longer write any captions, so I started a new one so that I could add captions to my pictures again!
